MONDAY NIGHTS @ 16BEAVER Since 1999, the Reading Group at 16Beaver has organized presentations, readings, discussions, screenings, and panels with/by artists, curators, thinkers, writers, and activists. Monday nights are an evening to share time and generate discussions, links, ideas. Meetings usually begin at 7pm and the location is almost always at 16Beaver Street, 5th Floor. RESIDENTS 16BEAVER is an independent self-sustaining project. The Residents of the space maintain the space by using it as their place of work/work. Resident Artists include: Ania Soliman, Janet Rossi, Rachel Rowberry, Sally Boon, Rich Lee, Ayreen Anastas, Boe Hess, Rene Gabri, Peter Lueders, Berry Behrendt. MAILING LISTS / BLOGS A big part of 16BEAVER happens through our mailing lists and blogs. In order to help create a more interesting future, we need to be connected. Each list includes different features and goals. EVENTS: The Events Calendar is sent out on Thursday Evenings. It is a listing of weekly art/culture/political events that people on the list believe is interesting. Although the events tend to be based in New York, since our list is international, we do like to post info on interesting events abroad. To submit an event click here
ARTicles: ARTicles are various sets of e-mails that attempt to link the interests, concerns, and thoughts of those who subscribe to the list. Since most on the list are tied to other networks or online communities, this lists acts as a META list. To submit an article click here
"Journalisms:" or "Our Correspondent:" or "?" The title and mission of this collective project is a work in progress. But the general idea is that we cannot be in all places at all times. So those who would like to can write a "report" or "editorial" or "correspondence" or "essay" to share experiences for the benefit of others.
