Acclaimed author and Nation contributing editor E.L. Doctorow, known for
his award-winning novels set against the backdrop of social upheaval in
20th century America, will talk about the role of literature in
contemporary America. Nation publisher and editorial director Victor
Navasky will host the evening and moderate a question and answer period.
A signing of Doctorow’s “Reporting the Universe,” a collection of essays
recently published by Harvard University Press will follow. Copies will be
available for sale at the event.
