In the midst of the Bush administration, the gay marriage debate, and media images like “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”, where are we as queer artists, writers, and curators?
This panel will also provide an opportunity to talk about the work that has recently been displayed in exhibitions such as “Today’s Man” at John Connelly Presents, Bob Nickas’s “My People Were Fair…” show at Team, and “DL: The ‘Down Low’ in Contemporary Art” at The Longwood Art Gallery, curated by Edwin Ramoran. This conversation will hopefully further the dialogue that these exhibitions started.
