Socrates Sculpture Park is pleased to announce the opening of Field: science, technology and nature featuring new works by Patrick Armacost, Mark Dion, Elaine Gan, Hope Ginsburg, Michael Joo, Catarina Leitão, Pam Lins, Ethan Long, Mitch Miller, Lisi Raskin and John Stoney.
Curated by Alyson Baker, this exhibition examines the ways in which organic products and systems are manipulated through scientific practice, mediated by marketing strategies, effected by human use of natural resources, and augmented by corporate production and industrial innovation.
