MOOV is a media arts festival with an emphasis on new work by young and
emerging international artists. The 2003 edition presents 3 evenings of
screenings (followed by audio/visual performances) featuring 31 artists
from 13 countries and 8 U.S. states.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 7:00 pm
* INDEPENDENT EXPOSURE US EDITION 2003 (65 min), is a new touring
program from MICROCINEMA INTERNATIONAL, an independent curating,
distribution, and exhibition organization of independent films, videos,
and digital art. This program features new works from 14 film and video
makers from 8 U.S. states. The screening will be followed by a live
MUSIC PERFORMANCE by TELESEEN. Admission: $5.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 7:00 pm
* DIGITAL CONVERGENCE (62 min), features13 works from 9 European-based
media artists and groups, curated by Norwegian video artist HC GILJE,
that explore the relationship between the visual and audio aspects of
the video medium. In a post-screening live video improvisation
PERFORMANCE, GILJE will collaborate with New York audio artist OBLAAT.
Admission: $5.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 7:00 pm
* STAR CITY (66 min), features 8 international video artists who use
Hong Kong as a backdrop to explore urban space. Star City is curated by
ELAINE NG and VIDEOTAGE, a media artist collective based in Hong Kong
and China. The screening will be followed by an improvisational
audio/visual PERFORMANCE by BURUN featuring audio collected in Hong
Kong. Admission: $5.

MOOV is presented by Perimeter Media + Culture Projects, in association
with Video Lounge
PERIMETER MEDIA + CULTURE PROJECTS () is
a non-profit cultural organization that serves emerging independent
film, video, and media artists through festivals and exhibitions and is
dedicated to building a international creative community encouraging
dialogue and exchange across geographic, cultural and social boundaries.
VIDEO LOUNGE was a microcinema screening series at the Knitting Factory
from 1992 – 2001. Video Lounge continues to curate and coordinate video
programs on an invitational basis.
