You are invited to join us as we run for a very special and timely
cause… the economy.
Following on the heels of the New York Marathon and a historic
election, join us for a 2K mini-marathon through the pedestrian lanes
of New York’s Financial District. We will jog to raise awareness,
raise spirits, and raise support to find a cure for the economy. This
kick-off run will pass through the venerated streets and alleys where
it all started in a major effort to kick economic crisis out of New
York City.
Schedule and Details:
Wednesday, November 19th, 9AM
Registration: 9:00-9:15, Meet at 16 Beaver St (bet. Broad and
Whitehall St.)
The Main Event: 9:15-9:30
Free and Open to Everyone
We will begin by running up Broad Street to the New York Stock
Exchange, and then continue on from there as we jog a short but
historic route. Please arrive promptly so that we can begin at 9:15.
This will allow participants that still have jobs to continue on to
them in a timely fashion. All ages and fitness levels encouraged to
join us. Remember to dress for cold-weather athletic activity.
If you cannot or do not want to jog, you can still help! We are still
in need of several volunteers to help with registration, route
management, and documentation/PR. Please contact us and we’ll put you
to work.
Is these days of secret bailout arrangements and failed economic
policies, we don’t always know who really runs the economy. On
Wednesday, it’s up to all of us. Join us as we race for the answer. We
run together to make a difference!
