As many of you know, Glowlab’s annual psy.geo.CONFLUX festival is taking
place this weekend in New York. Events begin at noon Thursday at PARTICIPANT INC [95 Rivington Street between Orchard and Ludlow]. The opening reception is Thursday evening from 7 – 9pm. We’ve got a huge lineup of artists and speakers from all over the world planned for this year, and we hope you can make it to at least some of the presentations. Glowlab’s own project, One Block Radius [http://www.oneblockradius.org], will be presented on Saturday May 15 from 2 – 3:45pm, starting at PARTICIPANT.

Part festival and part conference, psy.geo.CONFLUX brings together visual
and sound artists, writers, urban adventurers and the public to explore the
physical and psychological landscape of the city. Events from Thursday
through Sunday include experimental walks with altered maps and navigational
aids; high-tech drifts using wearable computing devices; a human-scale chess
game in south Williamsburg; a walking presentation of an urban documentary
commissioned by the New Museum of Contemporary Art; a series of temporary
installations, lectures, audio and video works and more.
