OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS, GROUPS, CLUBS, INDIVIDUALS, ENTHUSIASTS
The Paraeducation Department invites groups of all kinds to organize gatherings in the Paraeducation reading room, located in the shared building of TENT. Witte de With, Witte De Withstraat 50 3012BR Rotterdam.
Organized along the lines of an unofficial agency, the Paraeducation Department is a group project by Annie Fletcher and Sarah Pierce that explores informal moments of collective learning. On 9 September 2004 the Paraeducation Department will open its doors in Rotterdam. Here, education is open to a range of possibilities such as poetry readings, book clubs, tutorials, and individual meetings. Groups and individuals are encouraged to use the room to self-produce one-off sessions or short-term activities.
The room is run co-operatively by TENT. and Witte de With. When the room is not booked it is available to anyone in the local community for reading, relaxing, and having conversations.
Location: First Floor,Witte de Withstraat 50, 3012 BR Rotterdam, between the offices of Witte de Witte and TENT.
Capacity: 15 persons maximum
Dimensions: 450 x 676 cm
Hours: Tuesday – Sunday between 11 – 6 p.m.
Guidelines: Meetings should be scheduled Tuesday – Sunday between 11 – 6 p.m. in order to avail of the room free-of-charge. Outside these times, please make special arrangements upon booking. Groups should provide their own materials, refreshments, etc., including electronic equipment, if required. Technical support is not provided. To use the room for reading and relaxing, or for individual meetings, booking is optional.
