Eighth Encounter
with Zoé Samudzi and Nick Mirzoeff

Dear Friends and Comrades,

We want to send a warm greeting to everyone.

We are excited to assemble again this Sunday after some weeks of pause.

This Sunday the 22nd of May at 11AM (EST), together with Nick Mirzoeff we are happy to welcome Zoé Samudzi who will be sharing some notes on Imperial Memory and Nostalgia.

Both Zoé and Nick were part of our last assembly with Alisa, screening her film, so it is a perfect way to pick up where we left off. In fact, the threads tying together Zoé's questions and our discussions not just over these last months, but the last two years are too many to try and cover in this short invitation. We only hope that we will have a chance to catch some of those threads in conversation.

We do take this moment to say how grateful we are to share this space week after week nourishing one another's senses of all that needs to be confronted and undone as we fight against the many wars in our midst
and struggle to continue, as our friend Rolando has reminded us so many times, to dream our own dreams, precisely in the face of realities which increasingly take on the quality of nightmares.
