1. About This Monday 2.12.07
What: Screenings/Questions/Issues That Matter
When: Monday 2.12.07
Where: 16Beaver Street, 4th Floor
When: 7:30 pm
Who: Free and open to all
We would like to ask this question: “What Matters?” and furthermore, we are not looking for answers, what we are looking in reply to that question, are further questions: to find the right question is also what matters.
So friends please come this Monday, to tell us what matters, in the following form or format:
Each of us brings an excerpt of a film or video, by themselves or by other filmmakers/artists that may be understood under this light of what matters: Socially, artistically, theoretically {film theory or other theory}, culturally, politically, or however you understand the question.
If all goes well, we would like to put all these questions online as a followup of the evening, but no pressure for products as usual.
What formats: VHS[NTSC], DVDs [NTSC], and of course any format that your computer or camera might play, if you bring the piece that connects your camera/computer to the projector adapter. Also if you have any questions, please email to
everytime{AT}16beavergroup.org
and entitle your email with WHAT MATTERS please.
How long are we looking at?
Maybe between 5-10 minutes each team member.
This includes the screening time as well as the formulation of the question.
Also if you have reading material in-relation, also bring.
Please do not be shy, especially those of us who are constantly coming to Beaver, and we are constantly talking about doing something. We can start. No?
Every one is very welcome!
